I was incomplete

The only one thing that I want in life
is to be joyful and free of all strife.
I began the search for true happiness
so I could get rid of all emptiness.

I looked to the heavens and saw a star.
Guided by it I then travelled afar.
The beauty of all lands I did adore
but none gave me the joy I was looking for.

The best of food I had then consumed.
The cup of wine would give me joy was what I presumed.
I thought that flesh would give me satisfaction 
Hence I began the quest for infatuation.

I realised nothing was interesting
and they weren't worth any time investing.
I felt that I am totally hollow.
This pain is what I had to swallow.

My eyes then feel on the image of my Maker.
I then found fulfillment in my Creator.

God is love

God is love St Paul teaches us that God is the same Yesterday, today and forever. God doesn't change. Love doesn't change. If it does change, it was never love. St John tells us  that God is love. God sacrificed for us Therefore, love demands sacrifice  As Gold is purified in a furnace. Our love for God gets tested in the furnace of suffering.

I don't know God

 I do not know the God who reigns in heaven. I don't know the God whom nations fear. I don't know the God whom you call King. I only know the God who dwells in our heart, who is near to those who call on him and who makes haste to help. GOD is a parent to the orphan. He's a child to the childless. God's a friend to the needy. To a widow, he is a spouse. To the homeless, he's a house. God is someone from whom nothing you can hide. He's your husband. You're his bride.
