The seed of sin is pride.

The root of all evil is pride.

The first sin ever committed was pride.

Sin entered this world because of pride.

To sin itself is pride.

To persist in sin is pride.

To renounce goodness is pride.

To sit on the judges seat is pride.

To condemn our neighbour is pride.

To shun people away is pride.

To rebel against authority is pride.

To be disobedient is pride.

To desire respect because of one's age is pride.

To crave for popularity and fame is pride.

To want to be feared is pride.

To want honour for one's status is pride.

Scared scripture teaches us

That God resists the proud.
