Mother of the Church

 Daughter of the Father,

Mother of the Son,

Spouse of the Spirit,

A refuge to everyone.


You crushed the pride of Satan

when you were conceived without sin.

You bore our Lord.

You're the mother of our God.


Purest and gentlest Virgin.

You are the cause of our Salvation.

When you were taken to heaven,

you became an example of hope.


It's because of you that the saviour took birth.

You are the queen of heaven and earth.

God is love

God is love St Paul teaches us that God is the same Yesterday, today and forever. God doesn't change. Love doesn't change. If it does change, it was never love. St John tells us  that God is love. God sacrificed for us Therefore, love demands sacrifice  As Gold is purified in a furnace. Our love for God gets tested in the furnace of suffering.

Holiness is a challenge

If you worship God daily, the world may call you a wally. You will pay a thousand times. Of you they'll say that he just whines. You will not be accepted. You will be disrespected. Your efforts will be termed vain. This world will call you insane. When you preach they'll say,' " Don't make noise. We don't want to hear your voice." None will be there for you to console. All your anger you'll have to control. You'll be persecuted all through the day but remember that God is the way. You will not receive praise. To God , your sorrows, you must raise. The world won't give you the respect that is due but at the end God will tell you, " My child, I love you."  - Christopher Britto
